Hope You’ll Join Us for a SPECIAL Jewelry EVENT!! We have an AUCTION of 140 sets that will run from November 5th through 12th!
And at the same time, but extending one additional day – we have a RAFFLE of a stunning Laser Cut Cameo Cat Pendant, surrounded by Diamonds, on an 18k Gold Chain…. The RAFFLE will run one additional day, to allow those interested, to pay for any Winnings, and enter the Raffle with a single payment. AUCTION ends at 7pmCT Saturday 11/12, and the RAFFLE ends at 7pmCT Sunday 11/13.
One of Forgotten Felines’ founding Foster Families (Dan & Sarah Davis) owned a Jewelry Store which was closed down ~5 years ago when they retired. This loving couple has continued to Foster MANY, MANY cats and kittens over countless years, and currently have become one of our primary Foster Homes for a high number of long-term care, or Sanctuary kitties. You’re likely familiar with our fundraising for our “Sanctuary Cats” – however that fund is unable to cover a Foster Family’s own contributions to the care of these precious souls – such as beds, toys, scratchers, litter, food and treats. Their medical costs are covered by the Sanctuary Fund, as long as funds are available, but anything beyond the available funds – the fosters then spend from their own wallets. Because this family has made such an INCREDIBLE Donation to us of STUNNING, fun, unique jewelry pieces – we have decided to have a SPECIAL fundraiser specifically for THEM, with any funds raised Auctioning/Raffling the jewelry! Every dollar raised/donated will help them continue to care for those sweethearts under their care with our Rescue!!
Items won will be shipped direct to Winners shortly after the Auction ends, or we’ll meet Winners for pickup at either Petsmart location in Huntsville. Bid Amounts cover shipping/delivery! A recent Adopter (Marsali, now Dolly Parton’s dad) has a woodworking business with a friend – and they have graciously & generously designed a unique, INCREDIBLE piece of furniture for use in ANYONE’s Home!! It will work in a living room, bedroom – really ANY room…. And if you happen to have kitties – there is a secret, special entry for them beneath the piece, so they can crawl inside! The doors have soft-closing hinges, and a drawer is built in for toys, snacks, all sorts of goodies! You could place a cozy bed inside for them to nap in total peace, or a litter pan to do their business in private, or simply as a secret play area!! It measures 28″ tall, 36″ wide and 22″ deep. The opening beneath it is 4.5″ high. It is handcrafted from solid Cherry wood (which will darken naturally over about the next 2 years), hand-rubbed with lacquer, STURDY, multi-functional, smells AMAZING…. Absolutely Heirloom Quality!! Due, of course, to the size, weight, nature of this item – we must restrict this Raffle to only those who can arrange to pick it up, or have it dropped off to them, in the Huntsville, AL – surrounding area. We apologize for the exclusion this causes for our MANY distant followers, but rest assured – we will have plenty more shippable goodies in the future!!

One of our incredible Supporters – Mary Long – has made another gorgeous Quilt just for us!! This latest creation uses all fabrics that were designed by Kaffe Fassett. The vibrant colors and movement in the patterns are stunning!! Mary puts so much love & care into each choice she makes for the cats, the materials, the backgrounds – all of it! This quilt has a beautiful swirling stitch throughout, reminiscent of kitty tails, but is actually called a “Dizzy Izzy” Quilting Pattern. The Quilting work was done by Mary Long, and her long arm Quilter who puts on the finishing stitches, is Kim Hamby, with “Sew What Quilting”.
EVERYONE has a chance to take this gorgeous Quilt home – we will ship it anywhere, (literally, our last Quilt Winner was from the United Kingdom!), or deliver if a Huntsville area Winner. If you’re LOCAL – the times on Wednesday and Saturday this week – when we’re meeting folks to pick up Winnings – is a PERFECT time to stop by and drop off an Auction Donation item!!! 6:00pm on Wednesday at each PetSmart, 11:00am Saturday at PetSmart on University Drive & 1:00pm at PetSmart in Jones Valley – in the Parking Lots….! We love Vintage! We love brand new of course – cat items, kitchen items, household goods, handcrafted items (are ESPECIALLY LOVED), your thrift store find, your bargain bin find, etc… ALSO – if you’d like to help in even a more basic but NEEDED way…. We can ALWAYS use Zip-Loc style Baggies – we use sandwich bags for the Thank You gifts, quart/gallon/2 gallon sizes for keeping Bid Sets together… We go through a LOT each Auction! A spare bin or 2 to store things, also wouldn’t hurt…
